The Cold Regions Living Shorelines Community of Practice (CRLS CoP), and ACCESS (Atlantic Canada Coastal & Estuarine Science Society) are launching the Climate-Resilient Coastal Natural Infrastructure Workshop & ACCESS 2019 joint-event, hosted by TransCoastal Adaptations: Centre for Nature-Based Solutions, operating out of Saint Mary’s University. The joint-event is scheduled for May 6-10th 2019 at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The Climate-Resilient Coastal Natural Infrastructure Workshop, from Monday-Wednesday, offers participatory workshops around the implementation, application, tech-transfer, packaging, delivering, and communicating nature-based solutions to climate change, from invited speakers, contributed workshops, and leading Coastal Geomorphologists and USACE Coastal Engineers who comprise the CRLS CoP Executive Team. The ACCESS 2019 event, Thursday-Friday, facilitates and promotes annual student and professional oral and poster research around coastal and estuarine science. This year’s Special Sessions are focused on coastal habitat restoration, climate change adaptation, and Indigenous-led coastal research. See the full ACCESS 2019 program here.
